The Basics of Flu Vaccine
The flu vaccine is produced each summer for the fall/winter flu season. Each year a vaccine is formulated then “grown” based on the most likely strains of influenza to affect the Western Hemisphere. At the end of each winter, the unused flu vaccine is destroyed. There may be several manufacturers of vaccine, but all vaccine for the U.S. is made using the same formula. (Exception: The inhaled flu vaccine, which is not suitable for work site administration. Employees should consult their personal physician for this type of vaccine)
The Advantages of Worksite Flu Clinics
Studies have shown that the average return on a $25 flu shot is at least $48. The return is immediate too.
Your employees are more likely to get a flu shot if it is convenient for them.

How we manage Worksite Flu Clinics
We reserve work-site clinic dates for the Fall starting in September. We limit the number of clients in order that we can be flexible should rescheduling be needed.
We set a unit price by late summer, or as soon as we can. Vaccine costs are volatile.
We monitor the progress of vaccine availability and keep our clients advised.
Our flu shots are administered by Licensed Practical Nurses, Registered Nurses and Physicians.
